Washington (DC) February 20, 2025 -- EVO is pleased to announced the publication of a new IPMVP application guide: M&V and Energy Performance Contracting for Facility owners. This IPMVP application guide provides measurement and verification (M&V) information to the facility owner who wants to implement an energy performance contract (EPC) involving guaranteed savings by an energy services company (ESCO).
This IPMVP application guide was developed for an international audience. By design, it discusses topics that may be more or less relevant depending on the reader's country and the local/regional legislative and regulatory frameworks. Nevertheless, all the topics discussed in the document are essential to provide a comprehensive representation of issues impacting the smooth operation of an EPC under various circumstances.
This document is part of a series of application guides developed as companion guides to the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP®). It focuses on energy efficiency measurement and verification (M&V) issues that may arise in the elaboration and execution of an energy performance contract (EPC). It is thus not a comprehensive guide on all aspects of performance contracting.
The IPMVP Energy Performance Contracting Sub-Committee developed this document under the direction of Christian Lemieux in cooperation with Phil Combs, Scott Noyes, Scott Judson, and Christophe Rodriguez.
The document can be downloaded from the EVO website library. To access the library, you must have an active EVO web account. Follow this link for more information.
