EVO welcomes its new Board member, Hema Hattangady.
Hattangady is Managing Director and CEO of Conzerv Systems Pvt. Ltd., based in India. Conzerv Systems has pioneered the design, development, and manufacture of Digital Meters and Energy Management systems for industrial applications. She started her career with advertising and software marketing before joining Conzerv in 1989. At Conzerv, she was head of Marketing for over four years and has been the Managing Director for the last ten years.  With help from Indus Venture Capital she expanded the firm from a turnover of less than USD 200,000 to nearly USD 20 million today. Under her leadership, Conzerv products have a world-wide market with offices in five countries. Hattangady is presently serving as a Director on the Boards of a few companies in India. She is also a Member of the Board of Governors of Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship. She was on the Karnataka Committee of C.I.I. (Confederation of Indian Industry) and was the Co-Convenor of the Energy Panel.
Recently, she has been selected by the US Government to be a part of a 3-member team on the South Asia Energy Management Mission to explore the development of the American energy sector including the government's role in managing and overseeing the energy production from oil, gas, coal, nuclear, and renewable sources, and one of the Top 10 Women who have contributed meaningfully to the Power Sector. She graduated from Karnataka University, Dharwad in 1984 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and was among the top ten rank holders of the University. She holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in French from the same University. She holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata and has over 20 years of experience in Marketing. Hema is married to Ashok Hattangady, who is the Technical Director at Conzerv, and has two children Raghav and Ananya..
