EVO Announces New Board Member: David Terry
EVO is pleased to announce that Mr. David Terry has joined the Board of Directors of EVO. Mr. Terry is the Executive Director of the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) which represents the 56 governor-designated U.S. States and Territory Energy Officials. NASEO focuses on sharing state best practices in energy policy and program development and represents the state energy officials on federal energy issues in Washington, DC.
EVO Reinforces its Presence in South America
EVO recently signed a Training Organizer (TO) agreement with Sinergeia, BGH and Ergon Energy Solutions. A first IPMVP/M&V training session leading to the CMVP® exam to be offered under this TO agreement is scheduled for July 3-5 in Buenos Aires.
Sinergeia was created in November 2016 and is located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is a partnership of Grupo BGH, a company with more than 100 years history in the development and commercialization of technology products and services in Latin America and Africa. Ergon Energy Solutions is a Spanish company with past experience in the deployment of energy service companies (ESCOs). Sinergeia offers business solutions for the optimization of energy use and energy saving, both in the public and private sectors.
EVO Releases the IPMVP Renewables Application Guide
EVO is pleased to announce the release of a new protocol, the IPMVP Renewables Application Guide – EVO 10200 – 1:2017. This document includes M&V options for renewable energy systems within the IPMVP framework, and includes examples and recommendations for specific applications. Renewable energy technologies include solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, small hydroelectric, ocean thermal, wave and tidal energy.
Core Concepts 2016 Translated in Turkish
The IPMVP Core Concepts 2016 was recently translated in Turkish with the appreciated support of Econoler, EYODER and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey. EVO would like to thank these previous collaborators for their support. The document is now available for download in the Subscribers’ section on the EVO website.
R.I.P. Arthur Hinton Rosenfeld (1927-2017)
It is with great sadness that we learned that EVO’s friend and long time supporter, Art Rosenfeld, passed away Friday January 27, 2017 at age 90. Considered by many as the “godfather of energy efficiency”, Art Rosenfeld leaves behind an impressive legacy as a professor, as an energy efficiency leader, and as a policy influencer. Less known is Art’s important contribution to the foundation of EVO.
