Monica is an Architect from Universidad La Salle, Mexico City, and holds an MSc in Energy Efficient Buildings from Oxford Brookes University.

Ms. Perez worked for the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the Mexican National Commission for Energy Conservation (CONAE), today CONUEE as in-country coordinator for the Climate Technology Partnership (CTP) and the Technology Cooperation Agreement Pilot Program (TCAPP) in Mexico, to support the development of the Mexican ESCO market, seeking strategies to reduce market barriers.

Ms. Perez participated in the development and implementation of the EVO’s International Energy Efficiency Financing Protocol (IEEFP) for Mexico, being the liaison consultant with the Mexican Energy Financial Institutions, private and public sectors.

Ms. Perez currently staffs EVO’s International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol Committee (IPMVP),  the International Energy Efficiency Financing Protocol (IEEFP) committee and subcommitees, and the TC-IPMVP Discussion Group. She also manages the Organizational Supporters Fundraising Program, the EVO Approved Instructors Program through its Instructors Review Group (IRG), the TC's Master Classes, the Website and EVO Website Subscriptions. Ms. Perez also attends attends and provides support to the Training Committee (TC) and subcommittees, the M&V Fundamentals Subcommittee and the Advanced/Thematic Subcomittee. Monica works with TPs and Country agencies in Mexico in order to foster the development of the M&V market.
